This piece is a drawing of the lantern in the woods, from Narnia. I used construction paper, Cardboard, charcoal, Colored pencil, and little white sprinkles.

For this Artist communicate journal page, I received the themes; Marker and Things that make me happy. For things that make me happy I used imagination and colors. I drew a marker and had different colors coming out of it with "Imagine" hidden in the colors. I used 3 mediums; Marker, Colored pencils, News paper/gel medium. I wanted the look of , dull words and colors going into a vibrant and creative space.
For this project, we had to choose an inspiration from the North Carolina museum of art. Then we had to make a piece using that inspiration and any of the mediums we have learned about. I constructed a 3D display of the famous painting "the scream". I used acrylic paint on playing cards layed out. Then I cut out pieced and hung them with fishing wire to create a force perspective from different angles.
For this project i constructed a "Marble drop" using various materials which include: Cardboard, Hot glue, Duck tape, Spray paint, wooden sticks, and more. I didn't solve any problem with my piece, it was an option to just make a fun and cool looking marble drop. I learned a lot about constructing things with many materials.
For this, me, Anna, Danny, Morgan, and Kiran, made a stop motion animation. We all collaborated on ideas, we all made cutouts, filmed and helped make the finished product. Together we Made a very creative video using tools like tripods, cutouts, and multiple cameras(phones). This was an artist assignment to call in and share something about "the one that got away". The artist then took all the recorded calls and made an installment piece where people can rest there heads on a desk and listen.
For this we Made a video using something called stop motion animation, which is basically taking a bunch of photos and moving objects around to create frames for a video. I learned that stop motion takes alot of patience and steady hands. This piece was successful because it came out the way I wanted it and according to my storyboard in my sketch book. If there is one thing g I would go back and change it would be to not rush a single frame just to get done, the more frames and small movements the smoother the video.
For this purpose while class made paper Origami fortune tellers which are going to be used in an artist collaboration between our teachers. I learned a lot about minions and how artists use helpers to create installations and other pieces.
